David Rosenfeld: Why we need a union

I believe we need a union because journalists have been accepting insufficient wages for too long. Our work is too important, too stressful and too demanding to accept subpar wages without raises year after year. We do this work because we care about democracy, but to truly have a strong fourth estate journalists need to be paid appropriately.
